Tips and ideas for parents, Teachers and Tutors

I have a lot of parents ask me for tips on how to keep their children focused and motivated. I usually share reward charts with them. Other parents see me using them during teaching or tutoring and want to use them themselves!
There is nothing wrong with rewarding your child for good work. You could put up the argument that when they grow up there will not be a reward chart for their good work. I beg to differ though, I use my own reward system for my exercise and I have had different reward systems with different employers. There is nothing wrong with rewarding a job well done!
Reward charts are prefect because they are flexible. There are so many different ways you can use them!
You can use them for tasks or chores, reading books, completing worksheets, for good grades, good behavior, ect. The possibilities are endless! The rewards are flexible too! It is whatever you decide on. I suggest talking with your child and finding out what it is they would like to work for. I have had students work for toys, ice cream, free time, computer time, and even money!
If you would like something more durable that you can use over and over again, check these reward charts out from Amazon!
